If you have ever wanted to learn hula in a sacred setting, the hālau hula of Waipahu United Church of Christ is for you.

Women and men of all ages and experience are welcome.  Kumu Dannette Kihano Yoshimura​ teaches at the individual level, helping the group come together with lokomaikaʻi.  For those interested, kumu also offers individuals the alternative to accompany the hula with sign language.

The hālau hula of Waipahu United Church of Christ is focused on Worship and Faith in Jesus Christ.  Songs are chosen by kumu for practice with Sunday Worship in mind, as an offering before God.  We believe this is part of  ʻIke Kūpuna.
